The upgraded verison has a bow over and uner the knob. I made the hole and span bigger of the *generic* version mount. It is designed to work with this Charmast usb power bank from amazon. It is printed in 2 parts that are glued together afterward. This helps cut down on support material and makes for a stronger final product. Additionally, I have included a generic option that should work for other power banks. Mind you, I haven't tested it, so I can't attest to how well that version works. Instructions You will need 20mm wide, double-sided velcro strips to install this mount to your head strap and hold the battery in place. Something like this should work fine. For use with the Charmast power bank, print both the quest_2_battery_mount.stl and the quest_2_battery_case.stl parts. Glue them together with epoxy or some other strong adhesive, using the curved relief cuts at the top and bottom to help align them. On the quest_2_battery_mount.stl part, supports will be required for the large circular opening and for the two alignment tabs at the top. Use 2 velcro strips to attach the mount to the head strap and one more strip to hold the battery in place. The rear cushion for the halo strap is already held in place with velcro, so the strips can simply be attached directly to the velcro surface between the cushion and the head strap. For the generic design, you only need to print the quest_2_battery_mount_generic.stl part. Use 2 velcro strips to attach the mount to the head strap, and another 3 strips to hold your battery bank in place. 12/28/2020: Added step files as per request. Feel free to make your own alterations!
