Oculus Quest 2 Golf+ attatchment
thingiverse
This is my version of a golf attatchment made specifically for my Oculus Quest 2! I tried to make the design as similar to Deadeye VR's product as possible. So instead of spending $70 I only spent $10! The controller should fit inside the print very snug as I used an official model of the Quest 2 controller as the base of the design. To assemble: I went to my local thrift store and picked up a $2 3 iron with a strong graphite shaft [13.5 mm dia.] . Therefore the hole may be too small for a regular steel shaft. I recently added another file for steel shafts [14.7 mm], I do not have a steel shaft at the moment so please let me know if I need to change the diameter or feel free to make your own changes! Just be sure to include a little tolerance. I cut my shaft 12" below the top using a Dremel with a cutting attatchment. To secure the shaft in the print, I used Gorilla Glue Gel and let it sit for a few minutes to bond properly. I have yet to run into any issues doing this. As for the controller constraint, you can use velcro strips (1 in. width) to secure the controller to the print. *EDIT:* Per request, I added a version that includes a second strap attatchment on the other side. Feel free to use this for an extra sense of security, but it should not be necessary. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve this design or any questions, please feel free to leave a comment! This is my first Thingiverse post and I put a lot of time and effort on this design, and went through a lot of prototypes, so if you enjoy it, feel free to leave me a tip! :) Venmo: grant_smith0 **I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES TO YOUR DEVICE OR YOUR HOUSEHOLD**
