Octopus Christmas Ornament

The Mimic Octopus is the chameleon of the deep - not only can it change color to match its surroundings, but it can actually contort itself to imitate objects found underwater, like coconuts, fishes and coral. This time, the wily octopus imitates a Christmas Tree. To build this, print one each of outer legs, inner legs, outer legs headless, and inner legs headless, and snap them together per the diagram. You can also made a standalone version, without the hole for the ornament hook, by printing the "standalone" files instead. Also, you can print the ornaments and snap them into the little bends at the end of each arm. Tip: print the octopus part in two colors by switching filaments halfway through the print, if your printer supports it. Then, when you assemble the ornament, make one color the "inside" color for a neat layered effect (see photo).
