Humans know that an octopus is actually a mollusk, not just any ordinary animal, but one with eight flexible arms. Like other cephalopods, it has bilateral symmetry, which means that if you were to cut it in half down the middle, both sides would look exactly the same. Two large eyes sit on top of its head, and a hard, parrot-like beak is located right at the center point where all eight arms meet, making up its mouth.
