OctoPrint RPI Housing for Ender 3 (pro)
thingiverse
This is a custom housing designed specifically for Raspberry Pi 2/3, carefully crafted to fit perfectly onto the V-Rails of Creality Ender 3 (Pro) printers. Two tee-bars were printed and then securely attached with CA glue to the larger part of the RPI case, leaving a deliberate gap in between them. It's essential to print the T-bars upright, as this eliminates the need for any supports during the printing process. To assemble the housing, simply remove the end cap, allowing you to push it into place along the rail. Once securely seated, reattach the end cap, ensuring everything is properly aligned (refer to the picture taken from behind). The power supply for this setup was created using a 5V voltage regulator sourced from an RC model, specifically a UBEC. The 24V input is then connected via an XT60 plug and coupling, providing a reliable and efficient power source for your Raspberry Pi housing.
