Octoprint Camera arm
thingiverse
This is a versatile arm designed to mount an octoprint camera on a 3D printer. It necessitates a sturdy C-clamp (Gimiton C-Clamp Camera Mount Clamp Clip Aluminum Heavy Duty C Clamp U Clip Bracket for Photo Studio Light Stand Camera Flash) that can be easily sourced from Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B4Z9WWK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You secure the webcam to the final segment of the arm using a paper clip attached to CameraMountPlate.stl. To construct this arm, you will need to print multiple copies of each segment (cameramountart.stl and cameramountarm_twisted.stl), depending on the desired length, along with one copy of the remaining components. The screws used to assemble the segments can range from #8 to 1/4 inch in diameter; however, if you opt for #6 screws, a washer will be required for each screw to prevent the head from passing through the holes. For mounting the base piece to the C-clamp, a #6, 3/4 inch long screw is necessary due to the presence of a nut socket that accommodates a #6 screw. This arm can be easily integrated with any printer or device featuring a c-clamp mounting point, including my Original Prusa i3 MK3 printer.
