OctoPi Station 7 - Raspberry Pi Case for 7 Inch Screen and Pi
thingiverse
I experimented with several Raspberry Pi 7 Inch Touch LCD Screen designs, but none of them met my expectations, so I created my own design from scratch. The aim was to optimize the 7 inch touch screen display model from Elecrow for maximum tolerance. The design is similar to others in its class, with cutouts for the micro USB and HDMI cable on the side of the screen. It consists of three parts: the front bezel, the mid section where the Raspberry Pi mounts, and the rear cover that encloses all components and features holes for the HDMI, power in, and audio ports. The entire assembly is held together with M4 screws and features mounting holes for various hardware. I will soon add a design for the Makerbot to integrate with existing bolt holes. The Gcode is optimized for the Makerbot Replicator 2X, ready to be sent to OctoPrint. **Update:** I added a 3D printable spacer and enlarged the entire mount to accommodate a standard motherboard screw that taps into the plastic. Additionally, I removed more material from the back plate to make room for the spacer.
