OctoPi Rig (Octoprint,Pi3B+,Logitech C170)

thingiverse

I put together an OctoPi Rig using a few files I liked on Thingiverse. The rig consists of a case for my Raspberry Pi 3, a mount for my Logitech C170 Webcam, and a Go Pro arm assembly to attach the mount to the Pi case. I designed it so that the case sits in front of my 3D Printer, with the webcam mounted to an arm off of the case, giving a clear view of the print bed. With OctoPi, an SD card software image solution for the Raspberry PI, and the 3d printing of this design build, my OctoPi Rig is complete! I'm posting this design here in case others want to use it too. This rig requires a Raspberry Pi 3 and a Logitech C170 webcam. You'll need these components along with a MicroSD card of at least 4GB to build the rig. Download the software image from the Octoprint website, and follow their installation instructions while watching their video tutorial. I remixed and gathered files from Thingiverse to create this case with arm and mount for my Raspberry Pi 3 and Logitech C170 webcam. **Additional Parts Needed** * 4 x M3 20MM screws for the Case Top & Case Bottom Models * 4 x M2 10MM screws for the Pi Board Mounts on the Case Bottom Model * 2 x additional M3 x 20MM screws, 2 x washers, and 2 x bolts; for the Arm Model & Mount Model Thanks to the original designers whose work made this project build easier for me. Happy Printing!
