OctoPi Case for Prusa i3 MK2S - Under Heatbed Mount
thingiverse
This is a combination of two outstanding designs. I was really impressed by the OctoPi Case for Prusa i3 MK2S created by Hackoholic. It's an ideal snug fit for the Raspberry Pi 2/3, but due to a couple of reasons my cabling wasn't quite right with the Pi mounted high up on the back of the printer - my Pi power cable was too short and my USB cable was far too long - only needing to be about 40mm. I liked the mounting option used by jmillerfo's Prusa i3 MK2S Print Server case which hooks the Pi low down on the M10 threaded chassis bars and cable ties it securely in place. However, that project is designed for a Raspberry Pi Zero with a Li-po battery. I combined these two designs to create this unique Raspberry Pi case, mounting it on the right-hand side of the printer with the Micro SD Card facing towards the front of the printer and the USB / network cable positioned toward the Z-axis stepper. In the photos, the camera is mounted to the right-hand Z-axis stepper, but my intention is to mount the camera to the heat bed once I get a longer camera cable. It's worth noting that the case sits exactly on the surface when attached to the chassis bars. Our Prusa has only felt feet so it should fit with those or anything taller under the feet.
