OctoPi Camera and Light Ring Housing
thingiverse
I wanted to use a WS2812 x12 ring light to illuminate my 3D Tevo Tornado, but I wasn't impressed with what I found, so I decided to design one myself. To make this custom lighting system work, you'll need to print four specific parts: one Light Ring Housing, one Camera Back, one Base, and two Struts. The larger holes in the Camera back, the Base, the Struts, and Ring Housing are all designed for 2mm fasteners. You'll also need a tap to create threads in the smaller holes of the RPi housing for 2.5mm fasteners. I based my design around three specific parts: the Light Ring from Amazon, the RPi Cam module, and a standard WS2812 x12 ring light. Please note that this is an ongoing project, and I'll be figuring out how to control the 12 RGB LEDs through OctoPi in due time.
