Octolight - cheap zoomable flashlight for Octoprint
cults3d
This is a simple adjustable LED torch for use with Octoprint and other timelapse solutions. Those torches are available online under a ton of different brand names. Searching for waterproof zoomable flashlights that use 3 AAA batteries will usually get what you want for 5€/5 USD per piece. You could run this directly off batteries, but i just drilled a hole in the case, threaded a couple of wires through and soldered them to the empty battery holder. Then i used a cheap adjustable buck converter set to ~4 Volts to run it directly from my Ender 5 power supply. This design fits the Ender 5 printer, but should also work with all printers using a similar type of frame. For the diffusor i used a piece of an old cotton glove, held in place by a rubber band. I used another piece of the same cotton glove around the rotating cylinder to give it more (and smoother) friction, so the lamp can be adjusted but wont move on its own. This design uses the lovely OpenScad threads library by Cuiso for the screw, so you don't have to go out just to buy a single screw and nut. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3131126
