Octobox for 5in Touchscreen with HDMI Bridge Ender 3
thingiverse
My First Design as I could not find anything that suited my needs or likes for an Ender 3 Pro Octo Pi Box. This was designed around a Raspberry Pi Box I found on here, then angled and made pass through for cables along with Pi Cam Cable at both top and back, and rail mounts to have it go on the left side of the printer and not just sit loosely. It is a work in progress and refining it as I go. I also used hinges I found here on Thingiverse and made them into ball/pressure hinges to snap it together instead of using screws etc. **Update 10/29** Discovered that the ball ends to hold case together are too large, these will need to be modified. Also, the rails to hold case to lower leg on Ender 3 the profile used was too large and does not fit into the extruded aluminum... this needs to be reduced for it to fit and also did not account the rubber foot on Ender 3 so it sits up higher than it should... Working on changes, screen fits well and snug into the front panel case along with enough space to plug in a USB cable to the Raspberry Pi without having to cut any additional holes. Hole for Pi Cam is nice and lets the cable slip through without problems. I am using the top hole in the front panel vs the slit I also created for this in the back case but will leave it for now. Just printing it today 10/25 and will make adjustments until completed.
