Octo4a Phone Holder for Lack Enclosure

Octo4a Phone Holder for Lack Enclosure

I needed a phone holder for my old Pixel 2 XL that I use for octolapse using Octo4a (which is great). So I remixed Friger_Heleneto's "phoneholder for 2020/2040 Extrusion" and combined it with a 3mm plexiglass doorknob so that it holds onto the left door of my lack enclosure with no screws or magnets.

Since it is just held on by friction, you can adjust the height of the mount on the door as necessary for the camera. The phone is also mounted at a slight inward angle so that the camera is aimed at the center of the print bed.

Fits any phone that is similar in size to a Pixel 2 XL (157.9 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm) with some space for a thin case.

This mounts on the exterior of the left plexiglass door because I have had issues with my Pixel 2 XL overheating during timelapses. I still haven't found a good solution for that problem other than aiming a fan at the phone…. Lmk if you have any other ideas.

Resolution: .2mm

Infill: 10%

No supports needed.

PETG
