Octagonal vase / box / toothpick holder

I made this for my mom, who loves the color and uses it to store her stuff. She definitely adores this thing, no question about it. But I also lost my old toothpick holder in a freak accident. It was nice while it lasted but its design was due for an upgrade. So I created this new holder, making sure it's even more robust than the previous one. Hopefully, it will withstand accidents better this time around. To make it even more versatile, I added a neat top, just in case I need to store other things later on. I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Feel free to resize it as you see fit... (UPDATE 1-JUN-2016): I tweaked the tolerance of the top part to get a better fit. (UPDATE 31-MAY-2016): I added an optional top, just in case... This design requires a baseplate for support.
