An octagonal structure following the principles of Italian Baroque architecture is quite common in Italy, with numerous examples found throughout the country. I was accustomed to seeing these buildings as integral parts of the landscape. Constructing this model provided me with a deeper appreciation for the skill and expertise of the architects from the 17th and 18eenth centuries. I am convinced that if one of those talented artisans were to see my creation, they might chastise me for not strictly adhering to the decorative standards of their time.
