octa-dipole
thingiverse
This octagonal center connector for a dipole antenna serves as the perfect pairing with telescopic Buddy Pole radials and wire dipole antennas using ring connectors. It can be easily hung from the top hoop or rigidly mounted to a mast with wire ties, providing flexibility in its installation. The holes are precision-drilled to fit 1/4" bolts, while the spacious cavity can accommodate a wound toroid, transforming it into a balun. For testing purposes, I initially printed the prototype in PLA, but due to its outdoor application, my final print will be made with durable ABS plastic. This design was crafted using Tinkercad's intuitive online interface, and you can view and edit the original model at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/diZrMVt2Ub9.
