Ocie's Lightbar Bracket (Prusa MK2 & MK3)
prusaprinters

Yet another LED lightbar bracket for the Prusa MK2, MK2S, MK2.5, MK3 printer.

Print instructions

I really like having a LED lightbar mounted out in front of the extruder motor at the top of Z axis. I have been using one of the models that encorporated the bracket into the Z-Top brackets. I wanted to tweak the hole size on my Z-tops so the rods fit tighter and didn't want to remake the Z-top with integrated bracket from scratch and frankly hate editing STLs.

So I just designed a new bracket that goes over the top of the Z-tops and attaches to the backside of the Z frame using the 4 Z-top screws. You will need to swap the stock screws (M3x8ish) for longer ones. Any M3 screw 14mm or longer will work, you need 4 of them and 4 M3 nuts. Well, you could live with just 2 :)

Prints without support and the part is symmetric, so just print two and mount one on each side.

STEP and native Solidworks files can't be uploaded yet here, but can be found at my Thingiverse link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2905132

Here is the link to the lightbar that I bought, although I believe most of them are the same size: http://a.co/0Vdw9mJ
