Occupied/Vacant sign

Occupied/Vacant sign

thingiverse

We required a simple yet effective way to indicate occupied/vacant status for rooms with one person max occupancy during COVID, so I created this basic design. It hangs easily on a door knob using string tied through two corner holes, flipping it around when entering or leaving the room. I printed the sign in black and neon orange to ensure maximum visibility, but any contrasting colors should work just as well. To achieve this color combination, I manually paused the print after the initial couple of layers, switched to neon orange filament, then returned to black for the final few layers. Keep in mind that the sign in the picture was scaled down to 90% in the slicer, so take this into account when reviewing the design.
