Occupational Therapy Toolkit for Quadriplegic
myminifactory
This is a toolkit designed specifically for Occupational Therapy, tailored to individuals who are quadriplegic or have limited hand mobility. We use these building blocks to determine which solutions will work best for each unique situation. The shapes and angles can be combined in various ways until we find the perfect combination. The 90-degree bracket is designed to fit inside the hand, with a finger-shaped piece that can be attached using an angled block. You can print rings and holders at different scales until you find the right size for the hands or fingers you're working with. To construct various combinations of tools, simply pick the parts, choose the correct scale for your application, and stick them together. We've had success with finger stilts, a knife mount for cutting, and general water bottle handles. These are all modular parts that can be scaled and printed as needed, then assembled using prestik or proper glue. The platform can be secured around the palm of the hand using velcro straps. As we continue to develop this toolkit, I'll add new components and ideas to help individuals with limited mobility achieve greater independence.
