Occupational Therapy Toolkit for Quadriplegic
thingiverse
This is a comprehensive toolkit for Occupational Therapy tailored to meet the needs of Quadriplegic or individuals with limited hand mobility. These building blocks are the foundation upon which we decide what will work best for each unique case. Blocks and shapes of various angles can be connected until an effective combination is found. The 90-degree bracket is designed to fit snugly inside the hand, while the finger-shaped component can be securely attached using the appropriate angled block. You can print rings and holders at different scales until you find the perfect size for the hands or fingers being worked with. Simply select the parts, determine the right scale for your application, and construct a multitude of utility combinations. We have achieved success with finger stilts, a knife mount for cutting, and a general water bottle handle. All these components are modular, allowing you to scale and print only the necessary parts before assembling them together. We typically start by using Prestik, then secure the pieces in place with proper glue once we're confident they'll work. The platform can be attached around the palm of the hand using velcro straps. As this toolkit continues to evolve, I will add new components as needed.
