One morning I strolled through the woods when a tree's whistle pierced the air, drawing me in for a closer listen and some quality observation time to pinpoint its origin. As I stood there, I became convinced that the sound was indeed the bark of that very tree, but I'm not entirely certain - I decided to record it just in case. The recorded sound left an unmistakable impression of an ocarina on my mind's ear, instantly transporting me back to the whimsical world of Hayao Miyazaki's Totoro, where forest spirits serenaded with these very instruments. In that moment, "Waiwen" was born - a one-of-a-kind ocarina character who embodies the essence of those mystical forest dwellers. You can find two distinct versions of this enchanting instrument: one designed to be played single-handedly and another meant for a more symphonic experience with both hands. The Waiwen ocarina boasts an impressive range, capable of spanning a full octave. Depending on the size you choose, its notes will dance along the musical scale in perfect harmony. I have no doubt that children everywhere will fall head over heels in love with this magical instrument, and I'm proud to say it was crafted using Blender's powerful design tools.
