OBS-M-1 Assemblies for Seimitsu Buttons
thingiverse
These files are designed to enable Seimitsu Buttons to utilize snap action microswitches instead of the standard PS-14-G microswitch. You can now use Cherry, Zippy, or Omron switches with any Seimitsu PS-14-G or KN button for improved tactile feedback and a satisfying clicky button feel! *Note: Later images show a screw and nut to secure the switch assembly. This is a prototype design element that will not be required in actual assembly. **Instructions** Each component is carefully labeled for its specific purpose. Begin by mounting the microswitch on one of the side tabs, then assemble the remaining side by fitting the tabs into the microswitch's mounting holes. Make sure the microswitch plunger pin faces upwards between the two walls of the assembly. Next, mount your button to whatever panel or arcade controller you prefer. We'll focus on securing it in place before moving forward. Insert the plunger pin first into the button within its dedicated slot. Then, carefully insert your switch assembly by grasping the top section near the two extrusions and ensuring a snug fit against the plunger rim. One extrusion should rest above the rim while the other sits below. Complete your setup by wiring your button and enjoy seamless gameplay!
