Near Guissona, a village nestled deep within Catalonia's rolling midlands, construction commenced in 1505 on the grand estate known as "Obra de Fluvià," or alternatively, "Obra de santa Llúcia." This ambitious project was spearheaded by the Bishop of Urgell, who had acquired the land with the intention of creating a magnificent residence for himself. However, the works were abruptly halted in 1514, leaving behind only remnants of the grand vision. The remains can be found at the confluence of the Fluvià River and its tributary, the Sió River. The architectural elements that still stand bear the distinctive marks of late Gothic style. The building's design featured a square floor plan centered around a spacious courtyard, showcasing the elegance of this bygone era.
