This tool is perfect for crafting oboe reeds. It securely fits between the cane's blades during scraping. A superior option to commercial alternatives, it also happens to be more budget-friendly. To achieve optimal results, print this item at 100% capacity and thoroughly sandpaper it afterwards. As you continue using it, give it another light sanding session to remove any remaining scrape marks from the knife. If your SLA printer is top-notch, you'll save a significant amount of time on this process! The plastic will inevitably develop scratches from the knife over time, but these are incredibly inexpensive, so feel free to print many copies and simply swap them out when they've reached their limit. I personally prefer printing in black as it allows for clear visibility of the cane, although not everyone shares my preference. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: Formlabs * Printer: Form 1 * Rafts: Yes * Supports: Yes * Resolution: Max * Infill: 100% * Notes: Sandpaper smooth after printing - and again after much use. Design Process: I originated this design from a sphere, which I then stretched and compressed until the desired shape was achieved.
