Object of Constant Width - Reuleaux Pentagon
thingiverse
I have two other Reuleaux shapes on hand - the more common triangle shape, but a Reuleaux can be created for any odd-number N-gon, meaning triangle, pentagon, septagon and so forth. The easiest way to make one is by using the revolve method, as seen in this shape. You simply build a Reuleaux-correct 2d shape and then revolve it 360 degrees. With the pentagon version, it appears even more bizarre than the Reuleaux triangle, looking like it *shouldn't work*. There's some kind of optical illusion at play in how our brains process the sizes of the edges. The bottom portion appears to be smaller than the other sides, despite all the sides being identical. This shape will surprise people even more than the triangular Reuleaux shape.
