OBERTECH NSP-02 KARAMBIT Remix with bearings and locking blade
thingiverse
REVISION: it is now updated with a locking lug file (New Locking Blades) this lug makes it so the blade wont open unless the button is pressed. it keeps it closed inside your pocket. This design was cool, but lacking a bit of structural strength and the tolerances for the folding mechanism caused binding for the the blade holder. I fixed this by increasing the hole size for the rotating parts to 6mm as well as widening it to 7mm, and adding more structure to the original design removing the weak point of the cut out in the blade holder.placing in 3 x 6mm OD, 3mm Id, 2.5mm w mini bearings.. creating a total width of 7.5mm with the bearings inserted. The spacer is 7mm wide, and so is the locking bit. a total of 6 bearings is required. Additionally i have removed the captive nuts on the original blade holder, and have put 4mm holes for threaded inserts. I have included two versions of the blade holder, a shortened stub holder as well as an original length blade holder. I find the the stubby blade holder to be better for actual use as its closer to the rotational point.. I modified this design as i use a blade in daily use.. and found the original design lackingso parts list is as follows6 x 6mm OD x3mm ID bearings. ( you could reduce this by 2 if you make spacers)2x m3 threaded inserts4 x m3 botls and nutsgood luck.
