Welcome to Buenos Aires! The Obelisco, a national historic landmark and iconic symbol of Buenos Aires, stands proudly as capital of Argentina. Situated at the intersection of avenues Corrientes and 9 de Julio in Plaza de la República, it was erected in 1936 to commemorate four hundred years since the city's founding. Designed by architect Alberto Prebisch, it took a remarkable 31 days to complete! The obelisk features inscriptions on its sides honoring heroes and significant dates. Additionally, it boasts four windows at the top, accessible via an internal staircase. Throughout the years, it has been creatively decorated for various public, national, and international events or themes, such as Christmas or AIDS awareness. This model showcases a vertical garden in the shape of the letters "BA" for Buenos Aires, proudly situated right in front of the obelisk. MiniWorld is thrilled to bring this charming model to life! Every single model is meticulously crafted by hand from scratch using SolidWorks or Fusion360 to guarantee printability.
