My 3d version of the Shepard Fairey's Obama poster is now live. Big thanks to @Louis for his photogrammetry work, which I was able to download and use. His contribution saved me around 3 hours on this project! Here's my Blender Workflow: 1. Import Louis's model into Blender. 2. Quickly retopologize the head - a rough job. 3. Import a standard MakeHuman suit. 4. Load in the original artwork as a background image. 5. Massage the mesh until it matches the reference image. 6. Project primary UVs from camera view. 7. Do secondary UVs for baking. 8. Add hand-painted touchups to the texture. 9. Upload my Blender file!
