Oatey Trim Ring - For Using Shower Drain as Pool Outlet

I've been working on upgrading my Coleman Vista Series 18' frame pool plumbing, going from the 1.25" thin-wall corrugated plastic tubes to PVC. I have watched some YouTube videos where people retain the original tiny pool outlets and step up to large diameter pipe outside the pool - this seems like it introduces a bottle neck we don't need, however, so I decided to cut out the original outlet nipples and install Oatey shower drains which plumb to 2" PVC, adapted down to 1.5" PVC. I discovered when installing these drains that the stamped metal grate that covers the top is very sharp around the edges. To prevent injury to swimmers, I designed this trim ring to snap onto the metal grate and cover the sharp piece. WARNING: If your pool only has one outlet, or your pump setup generates too much suction to safely use this ring, check my other prints, I have a dome-grate that goes in place of this trim ring that will break suction for the safety of young swimmers. Slicing: My current profile, which is a .12 mm layer height, .4 mm nozzle, 4 perimeter, 30% infill was a bit overkill for this project, but it turned out nice anyway. I used supports, it created a clean ledge under the print, I did not try to print it face down, if you do, you might be able to turn off supports, but for my system, I need a brim for adhesion and warp prevention and I didn't want to clean up the facing surface. IMPORTATNT: depending on how faithful your printer is to dimensional accuracy, and how well tuned your setup is for horizontal expansion, you may need to scale this print for best results, in the end, I went to 101% oversize and it snaps onto the Oatey plate and doesn't get destroyed if you need to remove it. I printed it a couple times before I found the right sizing, so take this into consideration. Printing: I printed this on my Ender 3 Pro, from PETG.
