Oakley Blade sunglasses systems trigger ear stem
thingiverse
In the mid 80's Oakley revolutionized what it means to be cool forever with their groundbreaking release of The Oakley Blade. I recently acquired a pair of vintage Oakley sunglasses from a fellow who assured me they were wearable, but unfortunately, the aged plastic in the ear stems had become brittle and fragile. They snapped! I yearned to wear these classic Razor Blade knock-offs, so I simply created my own! It only takes an hour to print new ones and they're remarkably strong too! To create them, I employed 25% infill, support everywhere at 60%, and PLA. The results are nothing short of amazing! Please note that these replicas are not endorsed by Oakley in any way whatsoever. They are not intended for resale. Don't attempt to sell these items, as the last thing we need is Luxottica cracking down on us for allegedly stealing their designs. It's all about having fun and being able to wear our beloved Oaks once more! EDIT: I added an ear stem with the original logo emblazoned on it at the correct proportions, but I'm still struggling to find a way to print it without encountering support issues everywhere. Good luck with it!
