Pollen from European Oak (Quercus robur) Originates from Fagaceae Family. This particular pollen grain has probably been dehydrated before being prepared or scanned, causing it to fold up along its three colpi. Comparing this to a well-hydrated oak pollen grain can be seen here. Technical Description of Quercus robur Pollen: Medium-sized isopolar monads are spherical in shape and have circular to lobate polar views. They are tricolpate with scabrate exine.
