this model is a bogie platform wagon, based upon those used by the Lynton & Barnstable Railway, derived from my own 2 and 3 plank bogie open wagon with the addition of pockets on the frame to take the wooden stakes included with the model, you'll need 12 of these to fill all the pockets. The bogies included with this model are designed to take standard "OO" gauge 12.5mm wheelsets as produced by Hornby, Bachmann Branchline, and Peco, this diameter of wheel is necessary to ensure that the NEM pocket designed into the center piece sits at the correct height. Brass bearings are not required.
