O-Scale General Electric GEA Locomotive (State Railway of Thailand)
thingiverse
I'm working on designing and printing a very complex model right now, but I just don't have the time to create a detailed assembly guide at this moment. However, I'd still like to provide the SketchUp file I used for the design and the STL files in case someone wants to try putting it together themselves or making some improvements. You can see how the model was printed out and assembled by looking at the SketchUp file. The model comes with O-scale track sections where the train can rest, as well as stops on both ends to keep the train from rolling off. There's also a name plaque included. I made the name plaque using black filament first, then switching mid-print to print the letters and border in white (PLA). You can see an earlier version of the model in one of the photos that shows how it was used as a prototype for this one. There are still many opportunities for improvement. This model was originally designed and printed as a unique gift for someone special.
