O Scale Flat Car With Sides

This flat car boasts open sides, or so people refer to it as an open top freight car. Here's another print that fits snugly on the frame I designed. It's actually a scaled-up remix of someone else's design, which I wish I had properly credited. Nevertheless, I added holes in the bottom for the hook and loop coupler. The print turns out beautifully, but I'm puzzled as to why the original designer opted for a double bottom. As with all these cars, they are remarkably light, so attaching washers with hot glue to the bottom will do wonders for them. They run incredibly well and bear an uncanny resemblance to Lionel prewar cars. So if you're bitten by the prewar bug but can't afford those pricey originals, this is your ticket!
