O'Cello Part 6 Edit - 14mm Diameter Bass Key for 12mm Rod
thingiverse
The specs of the original metric part 6 didn't at all fit the bass keys that I ended up purchasing. So, inspired by Daddie-O's version, I thought I'd make my own edit. Here are the bass keys I designed this part around: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GGMWD3S The design uses four M2 screws (20mm long) and four M2 washers to hold the keys in place. I also made it more printable with space above and below each hole to avoid the 'vertical circle cut-off' tolerance issue. No supports are required (although maybe for the rod hole). Sanding is only needed for the original's low-poly rod hole. The part was printed at a low layer height (0.2mm or preferably lower) for good resolution on the holes and washer indents. Print with 3 perimeters and 15% in-fill for good structural integrity. No f3d file this time since it's editing a mesh, which always comes out messy in Fusion 360. Sorry about the terrible lighting in the images.
