O'Cello Add-ons

Remixed from The O'Cello http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1703629 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2672095 These are some add-on extras for the fantastic O'Cello, designed to enhance stability without the need for a tripod. I created a chest-rest, a 4th finger position, and knee braces to complement the original design of the O'Cello. Currently, I have the chest-rest/finger position super-glued to the middle part, which is attached with velcro to the O'Cello. However, I plan to change this setup by attaching it to the second bolt from the top, working closely with the O'Cello creator to modify the original parts accordingly. The 370mm offset L aluminum bar is securely attached using the existing 45mm M5 bolts. I used Hillman 1/16" x 1/2" x 3/4" - 3feet bars for this project, which provide excellent support and stability. You may also notice that I drilled a hole in the last piece to allow the center rod to extend all the way to the ground. To enhance this feature, I added a clamp with a thumbscrew and placed the extra rod part side-by-side - you will need to cut it to fit your specific playing method. UPDATE: I've uploaded an updated version of the middle part of the chest rest that should fit seamlessly into the current O'Cello design. UPDATE 2: While I loved the Scroll'ello for my O'Cello, I didn't want to reprint the original Part 1 since it was made from carbon fiber PLA to withstand string tension. Instead, I designed a cap that you can slide over the original Part 1 - this idea came from the Hovalin Neck Topper https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2113171. Print Settings Printer: FLSUN Delta Mini Kossel Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Yes, required for the middle part if printing upright Resolution: .3 Infill: 15% Notes: Supports are needed for the middle part when printing it upright. When printing the scroll, I achieved the best results by using Cura as a slicer and specifying that supports should only touch the bed. The other gaps were simply bridged on my printer. How I Designed This I primarily used TinkerCAD to design this project. Game of Thrones on the O'Cello!
