Nyx stands out as the Greek goddess, or embodiment, of night itself. A mysterious presence, Nyx took shape at the dawn of creation and gave birth to other deified entities like Hypnos, who personifies sleep, and Thanatos, the symbol of death, alongside Erebus, darkness incarnate. Despite her relatively rare appearances in surviving mythology, Nyx is portrayed as an exceptionally powerful and stunning figure, striking fear even into Zeus himself.
