Nylon Wire Tie Anchor Mount - For Cable Support
thingiverse
I have been designing machines such as 3D printers and drawing robots that demand a cable of wires secured while being routed out to a moving assembly. I utilize 24" nylon wire ties as support to the cable bundle. This Thing is an end mount or support point for each end of the cable, which accepts a 9 mm wide nylon wire tie. The wire tie slides into a slot and can then be screwed in through a hole or clamped in using a 3 mm nut. I have provided two versions; one for gluing to a location and another with mounting holes. With one of these mounts on each end of the nylon wire tie, the cable is supported without strain. The photos show the glue-in-place version which I attached using Cyanoacrylate Glue (Crazy Glue). You will need a 3 mm nut and a 3 mm x 5 mm screw to create the clamping version. If you leave the nut out, you can drill a 3 mm hole through the wire tie and run the screw right through the wire tie to retain it.
