These STL files are used to print modified NYLON 608 bearings as seen in an instructable (http://www.instructables.com/id/Combination-CNC-Machine-and-3D-Printer/) and were adapted from "TheRooster's" original "Printable 608 Ball Bearing" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4676) to accommodate a 0.250" center hole and NYLON cooling gradients. The printed bearings, made by perimeter-only with no equivalent 45-degree fill, will be used in a "Pre-Programmed Time-lapse Roving Camera," supporting up to 8-10 lbs across four bearings. Tested at 2,400 RPM for 15 minutes without lubrication, they experienced an eight-degree temperature rise and negligible vibration up to 2,000 RPM. However, inner seams required touch-up for higher speeds. The parts were printed in different runs: the inner part first, followed by a Y-axis offset, and then the outer shell.
