NVIDIA Jetson TK1 "sneeze guard" case
thingiverse
The NVIDIA Jetson TK1 development board's minimal enclosure comprises a top and bottom piece, supported by standoffs and hardware. This simple design keeps fingers and dropped tools away from the board on your desk but does not accommodate drives or add-ons. The case is laser-cut from 1/8" (3mm) acrylic, requiring four 3/4" threaded standoffs (4-40 thread) and eight 1/2" screws. In a pinch, 1" standoffs can be used, making the enclosure taller. The Digi-Key part number for the required standoffs is 3481K-ND. Before assembling, remove rubber feet from the TK1 board (if attached) and carefully peel them off; they can be re-sticked under the case. Four spacers, located in the fan cutout area, are installed between the board and base piece for proper alignment. A fun fact: some users have humorously started calling this design a "sneeze guard," inspired by its protective function reminiscent of restaurant industry's food-windows.
