Nutella Jar Lamp
thingiverse
Many of you have empty Nutella jars at home, just like I do. So, I thought, why not reuse the jar as a lantern that can be used anywhere? My design uses an 800g Nutella jar I bought in Germany. I'm not sure about sizes in other countries, so I'll let you know if my design doesn't fit your jar, and I'll supply the original part files. Will it fit on my Nutella jar? My jar has an inner diameter of 73.75mm and an outer diameter of 79.6mm. For lighting, I used four white LEDs powered by a 9V block battery and operated by a simple switch. The circuit board is held to the print with an M8 screw. The print even has a thread for the screw. The thing itself was printed on a MarkForged printer using nylon. To get some diffusivity in the jar, I filled it with plastic wrap. Have fun making your own lantern during these hot summer nights! I'm looking forward to seeing some re-prints! UPDATE 17 JUL: new and better pics from the jar, plus a new circuit.
