Nutcraker with moving Arms and Mouth
thingiverse
This custom nutcracker was designed for my mother, who's passionate about collecting them using Autodesk's cutting-edge Fusion 360 software. As a thoughtful gift for Christmas, it was carefully printed on my reliable Prusa i3 3D printer, which pushed the limits of its 232mm maximum build height. It features a stunning gold finish courtesy of Matterhackers' standard high-quality PLA material. Post-printing is relatively simple: any leftover support material needs to be cleaned off with care. The arm pieces should be printed separately and then inserted into place. Although a bit tricky, the pegs on the inside of each arm are easily bendable to fit when heated briefly with a lighter flame. The nutcracker's jaw is composed of two parts: one featuring a smooth sliding rod that neatly locks into place thanks to some quick super glue applications.
