Nutcracker (Toy solider)
thingiverse
I built this model for my mom last Christmas as a fully functional nutcracker inspired by a classic Toy Soldier design. Once the three parts are printed, the handle/bottom jaw must be inserted into the main component, then the rod slid into the holes to connect them securely. However, perfect prints may not always be possible, so the main base needs to be cut into two separate parts - front and back - allowing for easier assembly of the handle and rod before gluing the back section in place again. It's crucial that the bed is perfectly leveled during this process, or else the pieces won't fit together properly and the print will topple over on its own.
