Here is a festive nutcracker for pattywac's holiday-themed competition. I'm not sure if this design can actually crack any nuts with its lever, but feel free to customize it as needed. I had to print out the design multiple times due to some careless errors on my part and also break down the model into smaller sections to avoid catastrophic failures in case things go wrong during a long print. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to add more details, so you'll have to fit the missing pieces - like arms, a hat, and a printed mustache - onto the Cupcake's build platform using the z-axis to push the lever down. You can find my Sketchup design files included with this submission. This was my first attempt at designing something in Sketchup for printing, and I'm impressed that it turned out relatively well despite some overhang issues that didn't quite work as planned.
