Nut Spinners

Nut Spinners

thingiverse

A couple of points clarify what a spanner does but on a smaller scale. The main file is spanner.scad, which contains two things: a nut that captures and provides a hand spinner to tighten it, and a feature that converts a nut into a wingnut or bolt into a wingbolt. Support files are metric_sizes.scad and rodsandholes.scad, which must be located in the same directory as the main file. Information at the top of the file focuses on obtaining a precise number of threads for easier printing. You input your nozzle diameter and layer height there, and it calculates the build width using the rectangle plus semi-circle model. If necessary, you can insert your own build width.
