I wanted to utilize a lead-screw, so I had to develop a new nut-lock for the lead-screw nut. I've employed a TR8x1.5 lead-screw and corresponding nut for it. Blue and Black Component The blue prints displayed here are non-reinforced while the black prints feature slightly thicker walls. The nut sits a bit higher in the black component (0.3mm). If the nut is not flush with the edges of the print, you must either sink it or print a tiny spacer to make it flush. Print Settings Printer: JennyPrinter Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.23 Infill: 70% Notes: You should use 0.23 layer height for optimal accuracy as the "base" for the nut. I used a 0.4mm nozzle. Three perimeters were printed. I produced prints in both PLA (blue) and ABS (black). Be sure to consider any shrinkage your ABS may undergo. Post-Printing Cleanup You might need to clean up that guide-tap at the top of the print. Use a wide flat-headed screwdriver to force the two "halves" apart, making it easier to slide the nut into place if necessary. How I Designed This I simply edited the file in Tinkercad.
