Easily create custom nuts, bolts, washers, and threaded rods by inputting specific requirements into a user-friendly customizer. This feature is ideal for replacing metal components in various applications like the Universal Filament Spool Holder. The tool offers options for WingNuts, enabling simple hand tightening and removal, as well as socket cap, socket button, and socket countersunk head types with support for socket, Phillips, and slot drives. You can also generate extended joiner nuts to connect threaded rods for unlimited length. It uses the PolyScrewThread library from Thingiverse. New features include facet control on nuts, square sockets, and socket depth customization. The print settings are raft-free with no supports needed, requiring 100% infill. Default parameters work well for an 8mm diameter bolt, rod, matching nuts, and wing nuts. Some adjustments may be necessary based on personal printer preferences, slicing tools, filament, and first layer print options. Cleanup around socket openings might be required. Print a matching bolt and nut to fine-tune your settings. For best results, use slow print speeds, solid fill, and print one at a time for improved layer cooling. Add a 2mm brim when printing threaded rods up to 150 mm in length, which can be extended by creating nut joiners.
