Nut holder - Adjustable for any nut size / space

This template allows you to create a universal nut holder for hexagonal or square nuts by adjusting parameters in the file. You can control various aspects such as: diameter and height of the nut holder position of the hole for the nut, either centered within the part or on top for post-print fitting number of dents along the outside edge depth of these dents amount of chamfering on the top and bottom edges dimensions of the nut, including diameter and height thread size tolerance for nut/thread holes Future updates may include a "knurled" finish option. Three STL files are provided as examples of simple variations achievable with this template. Update - 03/03/2018: Improved preview accuracy by slightly overlapping volumes used to cut dents and holes, thanks to gadgetmind's suggestion. Update - 03/03/2018: Simplified tolerance values in code for clarity. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1-0.2mm Infill: 40% Notes: When printing with the nut enclosed, stop at the appropriate height using your slicing software to prevent nut hole coverage. How I Designed This: 14/05/2017: Be cautious when adjusting parameters, as excessive dent sizes or a small object body can result in unpredictable geometry. 10/05/2017: Most variables are now adjustable within Customiser, but some parameters don't translate into the app. 07/05/2017: I designed this template file in OpenSCAD with adjustable parameters at the start. The number of sides on the nut is still a fixed value. Designed in OpenSCAD. Future updates may include customizable outer diameter, nut size, and notch options. Let me know if you're interested.
