Number Bond Puzzle Set for 1st Grade Math Why Did I Create This? I just got my first 3D printer a few weeks ago, and for some practice with designing and printing custom objects, I asked my girlfriend if she needed or wanted anything for her classroom (she's a 1st grade teacher). She asked me to make her something to represent number bonds, and this is what I came up with. About the Design As long as I can remember, math has been one of my favorite subjects. This is a set of ten puzzles using number bonds, the insert pieces are numbered 1-9, and each insert has the same number of faces as the number it represents, excluding the top and bottom. The shape of the inserts is a good way to expose students to basic geometry without requiring any knowledge beyond 1st grade math.
