My trusty Numatic George wet vac is an absolute gem, but I've encountered a minor issue with the spray nozzle. It seems to have clogged due to a tiny ball bearing inside, which makes it impossible to blow through. Determined to fix the problem without wasting money on a replacement part, I took matters into my own hands and attempted to remove the spray nozzle for an overnight soak. To my surprise, the poorly attached mount came loose, revealing its fragile spot welds. Not one to let a minor setback deter me, I decided to fabricate a new clip-on mount that would save me from buying another part. After some trial and error, I managed to create a sturdy clip that works like a charm. It's designed to move slightly when hit by accident, allowing it to easily pop back into place. While the fit could be improved with some fine-tuning, my makeshift mount has proven to be a reliable solution for now. In fact, it might even be better than the original mount, had it been welded more securely in the first place!
